Chantry's Creativity Curriculum

Our Chantry Creativity Curriculum has three strands:

Academic, Wellbeing and Creative

This gives children the opportunity to develop social, emotional, transferable creative and critical thinking skills alongside their academic learning.

Academic:  This focuses on developing children’s disciplinary and substantive knowledge and building children’s core skills

Wellbeing:  Supporting children to manage their own behaviour, physical and emotional health

Creative:  Giving children transferable skills, developing creative habits and critical thinking.

We aim for the curriculum to be inspiring, practical and relevant to our children, reflecting their experience and our locality. Children learn best when they are able to take ownership and responsibility over their development and progress and we support them to develop the skills they need to be independent, motivated and successful learners.

We recognise that each child is unique and celebrate differences within our school community. We adapt our teaching to empower all our children to succeed and to promote a sense of self-worth and well-being.
