Wellbeing Curriculum

We recognise the importance of wellbeing in preparing children to live safe, fulfilled and healthy lives. At Chantry, we support children to develop the skills needed to build and enjoy positive relationships. Our Wellbeing Curriculum teaches children to take responsibility for their health and wellbeing, both now and in the future.

Our aim is to support children through a journey of physical, emotional and moral development via the teaching of essential knowledge, skills and values. Our vision is that children leave Chantry knowing what positive relationships feel like, demonstrate respect for both their own and others’ feelings, understand that boundaries and different viewpoints are important. We also want our children to understand how their behaviour impacts on others.

Within the Wellbeing Curriculum, there is an emphasis on teaching children the importance of keeping themselves safe, both online and in the real world. We also focus on how, when and where to seek help and support, along with building the confidence to do so, and that consent is key.
